Local Wisdom Hub
where innovators meet craftsmanship
Local Wisdom Hub is a Kyoto-based initiative for international designers and cultural practitioners who seek to learn from local wisdom and apply it in modern practices.
We offer experiential and explorative learning programs across Japan that highlight craftsmanship rooted in regional climates and histories, and support the development of your projects.
Our aim is to realise a sustainable, decentralised, and culturally diverse society by inspiring creative people to embrace regionally inherited materials and techniques, wisdom of life, and ways of harmoniously interacting with nature and other species.
